Abstaining from gambling is one of ISKCON’s four regulative principles. It concerns betting and risking money or property on uncertain outcomes.
The tradition connects it with honesty, responsibility and putting time and resources to constructive use. It does not mean banning every form of family game without stakes.
Beginner guidance should distinguish ordinary board games from betting, lotteries and online gambling. Professional support may be needed when gambling causes harm.
The Alicante project will keep sales, voluntary donations and free community participation separate, without gambling-based fundraising.
