Prasādam is food that has been offered to Krishna in devotional practice and then shared. Many ISKCON communities prepare vegetarian meals according to particular devotional standards.
Meals may contain dairy, wheat, nuts or other allergens. Do not assume everything is vegan or suitable for every intolerance: ask before eating and report serious allergies.
Temple kitchens often avoid meat, fish, eggs, onions and garlic, but confirm the requirements for each programme and location.
Before bringing food as an offering or volunteering in the kitchen, ask about ingredients, storage, preparation and food hygiene.
